The Harvard Business School has launched a new program specifically tailored to help aspiring African executives reach their potential. The Senior Executive Program – Africa promises to strengthen your leadership skills and develop your insight into local, regional, and global markets.

The continent of Africa is a diverse home of various cultures, nations, economics, and politics. These differences create both unique business challenges and opportunities. To be successful, Africa’s leading executives must design and execute effective strategies for growth both inside and outside the continent. They must also create innovative offerings, nurture high-performance teams, and navigate rapid change in Africa’s markets. This program will explore the approaches of successful African leaders and prepare you to compete effectively, seize growth opportunities, and sustain success for your organization.

The course is comprised of three modules. The first will take place August 5 – 10, 2019 at Port Louis, Mauritius. The second module will consist of an independent business challenge project, which will last August 11 to November 30, 2019. And finally, the third module will occur at the Harvard Business School campus in Boston, MA, December 1 to 6, 2017. These modules will help you build the knowledge, perspective, and confidence necessary to become an effective leader and accelerate your company’s growth. The course will also give you the chance to interact with and learn from other senior leaders across Africa.

It will immerse you in best practices in designing winning strategies, enabling innovation, establishing competitive advantage, leading effectively, improving governance, and more. In 1995, the governments of France and the Netherlands created the Descartes-Huygens award. This award was dedicated to attracting quality researchers (in addition to an interested public population) to improve relations in scholarship and science. Every year, two participants are awarded a substantial grant to study in this area.

The prize consists of a grant of 23,000 euros, and it is designed to cover at least some of the costs of a French researcher’s work and research residency in the Netherlands. This can also cover sequential working visits by a French researcher to the Netherlands (as well as the other way around). While research is the main focus of this award, other activities that enhance Franco-Dutch partnerships and cooperation can also be carried out.

The ideal candidate will be a researcher who is in the early to middle stages of his or her career. He or she should be currently employed somewhere in the country of France and have contributed to scientific and academic work. The selected candidate will stay for at least three months in the Netherlands. This three months can be broken out into numerous visits or carried out all at once. Additional activities may be developed while in residence as well.

The selected researcher should be prepared to dedicate the broad public as well as focused researchers on the research project that was carried out under the financial support of the prize. This may be done through media appearances or through targeted lectures.

Each researcher at Dutch universities and research institutes may nominate qualified French applicants. The Dutch nomination form must be used. The form, along with a completed curriculum vitae sent as attachments) should be sent to the Academy via email. All materials must be sent via the email address wetenschapsfondsen@knaw.nl no later than July 1, 2019.

Xiamen University offers exceptional master’s and doctoral programs, with over 19,000 students enrolled in graduate studies. In addition, about 1,500 international students are enrolled in the top-ranking graduate programs at the university, many of which are respected around the world.

The university will be seeking applicants for the 2021 academic year. Applications must be received in full no later than April 15, 2021. Application forms can be accessed at http://application.xmu.edu.cn. Here, candidates can also find information on scholarships as well as access other forms required by the university.

Each international candidate must complete an application form for international students. This should be completed in Chinese or English. Bachelor’s degree certificates or certificates of the expected graduation should also be supplied. Academic transcripts for all programs attempted should be submitted, as should a detailed study or research plan of no less than 1,000 words. This plan should detail the candidate’s intentions in applying for the program and should be written in either Chinese or English.

Two letters of recommendation, written in either Chinese or English, must also be supplied. Ideally, these letters will be from professors or associate professors who know the applicant well. Certificates for language proficiency in either Chinese or English should also be supplied, with the language determined based on the desired program and medium of study.

Each candidate must also supply a scanned copy of a regular passport. This must be valid until October 31, 2021. Applicants must provide CVs, written in either Chinese or English, as well as a foreigner physical examination form, a financial support guarantee statement, and other supplementary materials as required by individual departments or programs of study.

The university awards a number of scholarships to select candidates each year as well. These are offered as full or partial awards, with options including the University Postgraduate Program, the Silk Road Program, the Marine Scholarship, the Bilateral Program, and several others. The United Nations Office at Geneva organized the first International Law Seminar in 1965 and continues to offer the Seminar on an annual basis to this day. The seminar was created for postgraduate students who are studying international law, as well as young scholars, lawyers in international law, and government officials. It is intended to broaden the knowledge the work of these individuals in international law, as well as to give an opportunity to candidates from different legal systems and cultures to exchange views and ideas regarding the programs of the Commission.

The International Law Seminar is only for candidates who have a sound knowledge of international law, either through their studies or professional experience. Twenty-five participants will be selected for the program, after which they will be expected to attend lectures by members of the commission or officials of the United Nations or related agencies.

To apply, candidates should submit a curriculum vitae that includes personal information as well as details about education obtained. A list of professional experiences and publications should also be supplied. A letter of motivation, between 400 and 800 words, should include a justification for engaging in the fellowship. Two letters of recommendation from official sources are also required.

The selection process will be carried out by a Selection Committee, which is comprised of two officials of the United Nations. All applications will be considered but decisions are final. Selected participants will attend the plenary meetings and lectures of the International law Commission and related speakers. They will also be invited to take part in active discussions following each lecture, producing as a final result short reports in working groups. These groups and lectures will be conducted in English, French, and Spanish.

Participation in the Seminar is free, but the United Nations cannot offer subsidies for any participant. A small number of fellowships may be available. All materials must be submitted no later than April 8, 2020. Applicants must be no younger than 24 and no older than 38 by January 1, 2020.

Each year, the UCL Centre for Languages and International Education invites students from around the world to study abroad in the heart of London. A range of modules are available from different academic departments, allowing students to choose the subjects best related to their academic and personal goals. This school is ranked as one of the top ten for many of its subject areas and is considered a leading academic provider.

A majority of academic modules are taught on the Bloomsbury campus, but many take students one step further, making use of London as a dynamic learning space. Accommodations are provided within walking distance of UCL, with students from over 50 countries welcomed on campus.

This year’s programs will take place in two sessions. The first session extends from July 1 to July 19 with the second held from July 22 to August 9. To apply, interested candidates should visit the online portal on the UCL website.

When applying, each student will need to select two modules: a preferred option and an alternative option. Although only one module will be pursued, each option is subjected to minimum participation and maximum capacity numbers.

All application materials should be submitted in English. Students who do not speak English as a native language will need to submit their English language qualifications. Academic qualifications and transcripts will also need to be supplied. A personal statement of roughly 250 words should be submitted with the application, as should the application fee. If you are selected to participate, you will need to accept the offer of admission within five days. A place will be reserved for you once you have done so.

All applications are due no later than May 31. Admission offers are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Applications that are submitted before March 1 will enjoy a complimentary application fee waiver.

Each year, the Harvard Summer School – Secondary School Program offers exceptional and academically motivated students the opportunity to engage in a dynamic living and learning opportunity on the Harvard University Campus. This year, the admissions committee is seeking students who will graduate from high school and begin their college training in 2019, 2020, or 2021.

To be eligible, all candidates must be at least 15 years old by December 1, 2018 and not be turning 20 years old before July 31, 2019. Although no fee is required to initiate the application process, a nonrefundable fee is required to submit the form. Before beginning the application process, each student should carefully select the program in which they are interested. Harvard offers two programs to high school students: the Secondary School Program and the Pre-College Program. Therefore, it is important to be vigilant about which option is preferred and selected during the application completion process.

To apply, interested candidates should complete an online application and provide all required supplemental materials. This includes a nonrefundable application fee of $75, as well as a counselor report which can be completed via a link in the online application. Transcripts from ninth grade to the fall of 2018 are also required, including documents like report cards, educational summaries, and progress reports. Students who do not speak English as a native language should also supply scores from the TOEFL iBT or IELTS proficiency exam along with the online application.

After submitting an application, candidates should watch their email inboxes carefully. After the application has been submitted, individuals will receive an email asking them to log in to check their application status about three weeks later. Admissions decisions may only be applied to the summer term to which the application was originally submitted. No deferrals are available.

The application process is highly selective, and decisions are rendered on a rolling and first-come, first-served bases. Although there is no GPA requirement, all information submitted is considered a valuable part of the decision-making process. The Pre-College Program at the Harvard Summer School is now accepting applications from dynamic high school students for its summer 2019 program. This program was founded with the intention of providing talented secondary students the opportunity to prepare for a rigorous college education while studying at one of the greatest college campuses in the country.

To be eligible, candidates should be both mature and academically gifted students who will graduate in 2020 or 2021. They should be at least 15 years old by December 1, 2018 and not turn 19 years old before July 31, 2019.

An online application is required, along with several supplemental materials. While an application fee is not required to initiate the application process, a nonrefundable fee of $75 is required to submit the final application. In addition, all students should be prepared to send a detailed counselor report, which can be accessed via a link inside the application. Transcripts from 9th grade to the fall of 2018 are also required. These can be in the form of report cards, educational summaries, or even progress reports.

Students who do not speak English as a first language should submit scores from one of two language proficiency examinations: the TOEFL iBT or IELTS. Generally, scores of successful applicants are above 103 on the TOEFL with 25 on the written section, with a score of at least 7.5 on the IELTS.

Before applying, candidates should choose their program carefully. Harvard University offers two separate summer programs for secondary students: the Pre-College Program and the Secondary School Program. Once the application is submitted, candidates will receive an email encouraging them to log in and check their admissions statuses in about three weeks. Admissions decisions are highly selective, and are only valid for the summer term in which the application ahs bene submitted – no deferrals available.

The early application deadline is Friday, February 1. Regular admissions applications should be submitted by Friday, March 15, and late applications can be submitted as late as Wednesday, May 15. Candidates who are interested in financial aid should apply before the February deadline.

Interested in living and learning in the heart of Silicon Valley? Consider the High School Summer College at Stanford University. This program is designed for dynamic, diverse students who want to learn in small classes with dedicate instructors, all while benefiting from the rich entrepreneurial and innovative nature of Stanford’s campus. Candidates will earn college credits as well as an official Stanford transcript, and will also receive access to Stanford’s exceptional student-life resources.

In this program, students will interact with Silicon Valley and startup culture, enjoying access to the Silicon Valley Innovation Academy, the Intensive Study option, and the Summer Academic resource Center. Candidates can enroll as residential or commuter students, with residential high school students required to enroll in a minimum of eight units. Commuting students can enroll in as few as three units, but must live with a family member or family friend within a 50-mile radius of the college.

To be eligible, students should be sophomores, juniors, or seniors at the time of application. Gap year students are also accepted. Candidates cannot already be matriculating into Stanford as freshmen, and while international students are welcomed, they must be able to verify fluency in the English language through one of multiple language proficiency examinations.

To apply, students should submit an online Summer Session application, along with the most recently completed semester grades, standardized test scores, and two personally written essays. One letter of recommendation must also be supplied. An application fee of $50 for early decision and $95 for rolling admissions must be supplied. Veterans and Horizon Scholars may apply as late as March 6, 2019 and are not required to pay an application fee.

For the eight-week program, all applications must be submitted by January 16, 2019. This is an early admissions deadline, so candidates who are interested in a rolling admissions process may apply later (as late as Wednesday, May 1). Decisions are typically rendered within three weeks of application. The program runs from Saturday, June 22 to Sunday, August 18.

Graduates of undergraduate programs in Computer Science are encouraged to apply for the Master of Science in Computer Science at Oxford University. This program is designed for individuals from this discipline, as well as those from related disciplines, who have some level of training or hands-on experience in programming. It is also applicable for individuals who were previously or are currently employed in a professional related industry.

This full-time program of study teaches a range of advanced topics and methods, as well as foundational subjects, to aid computer science graduates in lifelong career success. Lasting twelve months and extending from October to September, this program is not offered in a part-time format. 51 places are available, with a whopping 519 applications received each year.

Applicants need not be from computer science backgrounds, but can be those who have strong mathematical abilities and have undertaken programming tasks in the past. It is designed for candidates who are interested in finding out more about the ideas and principles behind programming, as experienced programmers in both industrial and commercial settings have expressed a need for trainees who are skilled in the formal methods needed to work with unreliable or faulty software.

Graduates in this program will be able to expand their base knowledge in specialized topics, as well as to develop an improved understanding of the mathematics of computing. They will be able to apply their training to the fundamental techniques of computer science.

Oxford also offers multiple DeepMind Computer Science Scholarships each year. These awards are for students wishing to pursue graduate study in Oxford’s Department of Computer Science. They are open to UK residents and students who identify as female, BME, or from households with low socioeconomic status. There is no separate scholarship application process. All application materials such be submitted to the admissions department by one of the three stated deadlines, but to be considered for the scholarship, materials must be received by January.

The European Parliament offers talented candidates the opportunity to apply for several traineeships within its Secretariat. These are designed to foster vocational training and to encourage knowledge acquisition about the goals and function of the European Parliament. Each term, 21,000 people apply for these traineeships, out of which 900 are selected.

Traineeships are awarded to qualified candidates for a period of five months. To be eligible, candidates should be eighteen or older and hold a university-level diploma. Candidates must also meet a language requirement and provide an eligible criminal record. Selected recipients will not have worked for more than two consecutive months within an EU institution or body, or have carried out a visiting academic position for six months or more prior to the start of the traineeship.

Several batches of applications and traineeships will be processed. The first traineeship takes place between October 1 and February 28, for which applications are due by Jun 30. For the March 1 to July 31 traineeship, applications will be received and processed by November 30. Applications that are submitted after these deadlines will not be considered.

To apply, candidates should register for an account online. Then, they should complete the online application form through their accounts. This form allows for the uploading of a CV (in Europass format), along with a motivation letter. This letter should be no longer than one page. Although several traineeship offers will be available, each candidate may only apply for up to three offers per campaign. Submission of copies of an ID or passport, university diploma, criminal record, and residency certificate must also be submitted.
