Stanford University invites students with exceptional drive and strong business acumen to apply to their top-ranked MBA program. To be eligible, candidates must have received a U.S. bachelor’s degree or equivalent. In the application, each student must provide information about all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended, as well as academic degrees pursued. Candidates must also supply their grade point averages, transcript of courses, and language proficiency evidence.

No particular past curriculum of study is required. Grade point averages are evaluated based on the scale used by the candidate’s’ institution, but no minimum GPA is required for admission. Electronic transcripts must be supplied from each university attended for at least one full academic year. High school transcripts are not required. While no particular classes are required, calculus and statistics can significantly strengthen a candidacy. An application fee of $275 is also required, but this fee is waived for active-duty U.S. military service members or veterans.

GMAT and GRE test scores are required, but no test is preferred over the other. The LSAT or MCAT may not be used in place of the GMAT or GRE. Tests must be taken after September 2013 for Round 1 admission, after January 10 2014 for Round 2 admission, and after April 3 2014 for Round 3 admission. Scores can be sent directly from Pearson VUE or ETS. Report only the scores from the test that you wish for the admissions committee to consider, as they will not average test scores. Individuals who do not speak English as a native language must submit the TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE. Scores are valid for two years.

Work experience is not required, but this information can be included on the application to help strengthen an individual’s candidacy. However, positions held prior to university attendance should not be considered. Full-time and part-time work experiences, as well as internships, may be submitted. A one-page resume should be supplied, as well as letters of reference from a direct supervisor or someone familiar with your work. Personal information, like activities, interests, awards, and honors should also be included.

Applications are evaluated based on several qualifications, including intellectual ability, leadership potential (as demonstrated by past experiences, both academic and not), and personal characteristics and achievements. No single factor determines the best fit for each student, and each application is considered thoroughly and holistically. Each candidate must also write two personal essays addressing what matters most to you and why, and why Stanford is the best fit for MBA study. Both essays combined must not exceed 1,150 words.

The Stanford admissions team considers each candidate’s attitude toward learning as well as intellectual aptitude. They look at every applicant’s passions, interests, and initiative, as well as whether those passions are relevant to the candidate’s chosen career. The team also evaluates personal character, integrity, and their overall social responsibility. There is no “ideal” or “typical” Stanford MBA student, so the community is inclusive of a diverse student body with incomparable skills.

That being said, the admissions committee does operate with several basic assumptions about each candidate. First, they recognize that all students don’t fit into a certain mold, but that past actions are the best predictor of future behavior. Furthermore, the process of developing a talent is just as important as the talent itself, and while admitted candidates tend to have stronger analytical, creative, and management skills, there is no professional background required for the MBA program.

Applications should be submitted in any of three different application rounds. Each candidate may apply for only one application round. First or second round applicants receive several benefits, including the ability to receive need-based financial aid, time to complete quantitative or English language coursework prior to starting classes, access to on-campus housing lottery systems, time to complete a visa application, and the opportunity to attend Admit Weekend.

For Round 1 admission, all application materials must be received by September 18, 2018. Notifications will be sent on December 13, with responses and deposits due by early February 2019. For Round 2 admission, all applications must be sent by January 10, 2019, with notifications sent on March 28. Replies and deposits must be sent by early May 2019. Finally, for Round 3 admission, applications must be sent by April 3, 2019, with decisions sent on May 16 and responses due by late May 2019.

Candidates who are offered admission are expected to enroll in the MBA or dual/joint-degree program in the year for which they are admitted. The only exception to this is if you meet the eligibility criteria for deferred enrollment; otherwise, deferment is not allowed and candidates will be expected to reapply.

California Institute of Technology (Caltech) encourages talented international students to apply to its exemplary programs. International students are considered as such if they are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents at the time they are submitted applications. U.S. applicants studying abroad are considered U.S. citizens despite their current countries of residence.

Applications are accepted from students who have completed the appropriate curriculum that is required by their home countries. This might include the Cambridge Pre-U, AP, IB, IGCSE, or A Level curricula. The most competitive applicants will have completed three A Level exams (including the physics exam) or the IB curriculum with scores of 6 or 7 on their final examinations.

This curriculum will include four years of math and one year of physics, along with a year of chemistry and three years of English (four is preferred). Each candidate should also have a year of U.S. history or government, although this requirement is frequently waived for students who studied outside of the United States. Each student will be required to take a placement test upon enrolling at Caltech as well.

First-year applicants should submit the Common Application or the Coalition Application, both with the appropriate Caltech Questions. A $75 application fee or requested fee waiver are also required, as are standardized tests, teacher evaluations, and a secondary school report. Academic transcripts and TOEFL scores, along with an International Financial Aid Statement of Intent, should also be supplied.

For applicants considering Early Action versus Regular Decision application time slots, Early Action allows candidates to apply to as many other schools as they would like. However, financial aid is not offered to international citizens under Early Action. Caltech does not offer merit-based scholarships or financial need, and instead meet 100% of all demonstrated financial need by candidates deemed eligible.

All Early Action applications are due no later than November 1, with decisions made in Mid-December. Regular Decision applications are due by January 3, with decisions made in mid-March. Students must make their enrollment decisions no later than May 1. Early Action applicants who are denied may not reapply during Regular Decision, but if they are deferred, they may choose to be reconsidered during Regular Decision.

The University of Montreal has a longstanding reputation as an “international university in a city you can call home.” It is ranked in the first percentile of the world’s most prominent universities, and as a result, attracts students from almost every country in the world.

Montreal is well known for its cultural diversity, and the university is no exception. It offers education in multiple fields of study, many of which offer interdisciplinary degrees and approaches. International students are invited to apply to the University of Montreal for fall, summer or winter academic year.

The university offers many benefits to international students, including all-hours access to the Bureau des etudiants internationaux, also known as the Foreign Students Office, which helps acclimate students to Quebec and all of its related customs, requirements, features, and demands. Scholarships and funding are also available, many of which are significant in cost and can help make the price of an international education more affordable.

Each international student must obtain a Quebec Acceptance Certificate and study permit upon being accepted to the university. In some cases, a visitor visa is also required. These can be obtained by contacting the Canadian authorities or diplomatic mission after receiving an offer of admission. Proof of the admission offer, along with evidence of ability to pay, must be provided to this office. Acceptance certificates and study permits are not required if the academic program of study will last less than six months. Individuals wishing to stay in Quebec longer after graduation must apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit Program , which may lead to permanent residence, if desired.

While the University of Montreal is a French-speaking university, many departments are committed to providing a bilingual environment and offer graduate programs in English as well as French.

For fall and summer admission, all graduate applicants must submit applications by February 1st. For winter, all applications must be submitted by September 1st. However, some programs do offer availability after these deadlines have passed. Regardless of application deadline, all foreign students should provide at least three months to complete all permit requirements necessary to study in Canada. Moe information about application requirements may be found on the university website, at https://admission.umontreal.ca.

A minimum of an undergraduate degree is required. While the previously listed majors are ideal, candidates with backgrounds in other fields are also encouraged to apply.
This program requires regular course attendance between September until June, with the master’s thesis researched and written over the summer. It can also be pursued on a part-time basis over three years. The program begins with a foundational semester in which courses are taken in public international law, international economic law, and other basic courses. Then, students progress to more in-depth analysis of relevant topics. Regular course attendance is required from September until the end of June, with the master’s thesis being researched and written over the summer. The program can also be taken on a part-time basis within three years.

The program is taught entirely in English, with the necessity of participants to be able to express themselves effectively in and outside of the classroom, deliver weekly writing assignments, and read up to two hundred pages a week. Students may be asked to submit English proficiency test scores, with minimum TOEFL ibT scores of 100 or above, or TOEFL paper scores of 600 or above. Native English speakers to not need to submit test scores if their degree was completed at an institution in the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, or New Zealand, as long as the degree was awarded no more than five years ago.

Regardless of the language requirement, all students must submit a two-page essay in English. The university also requires tuition for one year of study, which is 21,000 Swiss francs for both full and part-time studies. Scholarships are available upon request. This tuition payment covers all course fees, master’s thesis supervision, extracurricular activities, and several trips to Geneva. Other travel costs, lodging, health insurance, or expenses are not covered by this payment. There is no separate application fee.

All applications must be received no later than January 31, 2018. Completed applications may be sent by mail or email to World Trade Institute, University of Bern, Hallerstrasse 6, 3012 Bern, Switzerland, with the subject line: Admission to the Master of International Law and Economics.

The University of Colorado at Boulder is excited to invite the next generation of applicants to apply for fall admission. The admissions team outlines specific expectations in regards to application procedures, materials, and selection processes.

To apply, freshman applicants should complete the Common Application, while transfer students should apply using the Boulder Transfer Application. A $50 application fee is required for domestic students, while $70 is required of international students. This is payable at the time of application submission. Fee waivers are available for select freshman and transfer applications.

In addition, all applicants should submit several supplementary documents. This includes an essay and a writing supplement. The essay should be between 250 and 650 words, and answer one of the seven essays questions from the Common Application. In addition to this short essay, the CU Boulder writing supplement should be submitted, delineating the applicant’s unique background and how he or she related to someone with a background different than his or her own.

Transfer statement must also complete a transfer-specific writing supplement, also recognizing inclusion and diversity. Letters of recommendation are also required from both freshman and transfer applicant. Only one per candidate is required. High school transcripts and records from any colleges attended should be submitted to transcritps@colorado.edu. Official SAT or ACT scores are also required for freshman applicants.

International applicants should submit all of the same above requirements, however, international transfer students need only submit SAT or ACT scores if they have completed fewer than twenty-four semester credit hours. Individuals applying to the College of Music must also complete a separate College of Music application as well.

November 15 is the summer and fall early action deadline, while applications do not need to be received until January 15 for regular freshman decision. Transfer students should apply no later than June 15.

The admissions team seeks to enroll a diverse incoming class and practices a holistic admissions review process. Admission is competitive, but each application is considered on an individual basis. The primary factor in the admissions decision process is academic rigor; CU Boulder will focus on classroom performance in core academic and prerequisite courses. Grades, class selection, and standardized test scores are also key indicators, but secondary factors beyond academic achievement (such as personal essays, letters of recommendation, and writing samples) are often the most indicative of a potential candidate’s success.

Although Michigan State University hosts a competitive admissions process, the university encourages qualified international students to apply as soon as possible. There are no specific minimum requirements for admission, though a rigorous college preparatory curriculum within a secondary education are recommended.

Each freshman application, regardless of nation of origin, is evaluated based on academic performance in high school, including the overall strength and quality of the school’s curriculum. The admissions team will look at recent trends in the applicant’s academic performance, and where he or she ranks within his or her class. Also recommended are standardized test results, a statement or resume that indicates leadership, talents, conduct, and diversity of experience, and English language proficiency (if the first language is not English).

Students are encouraged–though not required–to submit ACT or SAT exams. However, this is highly recommended. The university utilizes ACT and SAT scores to make important decisions about course placement as well as consideration for Honors College eligibility. Some students may even be considered for additional scholarships.

Applicants who do not speak English as a first language must submit test results demonstrating adequate proficiency in English. This can be demonstrated through the TOEFL, IELTS, SAT Critical Reading, Advanced Placement English Language, Michigan English Language Assessment Battery, Michigan State University Certificate of English Language Proficiency, Pearson Test of English Academic, ACT, or MSUELT (Michigan State University English Language Test).

Michigan State admits students on a rolling admissions basis. Therefore, they will accept applicants throughout the year. However, students are encouraged to apply early before all spots are reserved for accepted students. November 1 is the priority scholarship deadline, and all admitted students must secure their places in the class before May 1. Applicants should apply online and submit the $65 application fee, along with a personal statement and other supporting documents. Questions may be directed to the admissions office at (517) 355-8332.

Penn State invites qualified high school students or recent graduates to apply to its outstanding, world-renowned undergraduate programs. Minimum high school requirements can be met by many students, and are listed below. Some programs, such as music and theatre, may have additional requirements. These requirements might include an audition, interview, or portfolio. In addition, some competitive programs, such as the Pre-Medical program, have rigorous academic standards. Applicants to this type of program must be in the top tenth of their high school class, and have earned a composite score of 32 or higher on the ACT (or comparable SAT score).

All other applicants should submit several basic application materials. This includes a self-reported academic record, with all grades received through eleventh grade and the senior year. Class rank at the end of the junior year and a schedule of senior courses should also be provided. ACT or SAT test scores should be submitted from exams taken no later than October of the senior year. All high school and GED transcripts should be sent directly to Penn State from the high school or GED testing center.

In addition, a resume listing the applicant’s most meaningful accomplishments and extracurricular activities should be supplied, as should a letter of recommendation from a guidance counselor or high school teacher. A nominal application fee is also required.

Applicants may apply to several campuses, including the one at University Park. University Park tends to have higher tuition. Other campuses host tuition fees that are between $6,400 and $9,800 cheaper for two years. Penn State also hosts a 2+2 plan, in which two years can be completed at a starting campus with the final two years completed at University Park.

All application materials should be submitted by September 1 for fall or summer admission, and June 1 for spring admission. This does vary slightly depending on applicant type and desired program of study. Applications can be completed online via the Penn State application portal, or through the Coalition application. Questions may be directed to the admissions office at 1 (814) 865-5471.
