Each year, the UCL Centre for Languages and International Education invites students from around the world to study abroad in the heart of London. A range of modules are available from different academic departments, allowing students to choose the subjects best related to their academic and personal goals. This school is ranked as one of the top ten for many of its subject areas and is considered a leading academic provider.

A majority of academic modules are taught on the Bloomsbury campus, but many take students one step further, making use of London as a dynamic learning space. Accommodations are provided within walking distance of UCL, with students from over 50 countries welcomed on campus.

This year’s programs will take place in two sessions. The first session extends from July 1 to July 19 with the second held from July 22 to August 9. To apply, interested candidates should visit the online portal on the UCL website.

When applying, each student will need to select two modules: a preferred option and an alternative option. Although only one module will be pursued, each option is subjected to minimum participation and maximum capacity numbers.

All application materials should be submitted in English. Students who do not speak English as a native language will need to submit their English language qualifications. Academic qualifications and transcripts will also need to be supplied. A personal statement of roughly 250 words should be submitted with the application, as should the application fee. If you are selected to participate, you will need to accept the offer of admission within five days. A place will be reserved for you once you have done so.

All applications are due no later than May 31. Admission offers are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Applications that are submitted before March 1 will enjoy a complimentary application fee waiver.

Each year, the Harvard Summer School – Secondary School Program offers exceptional and academically motivated students the opportunity to engage in a dynamic living and learning opportunity on the Harvard University Campus. This year, the admissions committee is seeking students who will graduate from high school and begin their college training in 2019, 2020, or 2021.

To be eligible, all candidates must be at least 15 years old by December 1, 2018 and not be turning 20 years old before July 31, 2019. Although no fee is required to initiate the application process, a nonrefundable fee is required to submit the form. Before beginning the application process, each student should carefully select the program in which they are interested. Harvard offers two programs to high school students: the Secondary School Program and the Pre-College Program. Therefore, it is important to be vigilant about which option is preferred and selected during the application completion process.

To apply, interested candidates should complete an online application and provide all required supplemental materials. This includes a nonrefundable application fee of $75, as well as a counselor report which can be completed via a link in the online application. Transcripts from ninth grade to the fall of 2018 are also required, including documents like report cards, educational summaries, and progress reports. Students who do not speak English as a native language should also supply scores from the TOEFL iBT or IELTS proficiency exam along with the online application.

After submitting an application, candidates should watch their email inboxes carefully. After the application has been submitted, individuals will receive an email asking them to log in to check their application status about three weeks later. Admissions decisions may only be applied to the summer term to which the application was originally submitted. No deferrals are available.

The application process is highly selective, and decisions are rendered on a rolling and first-come, first-served bases. Although there is no GPA requirement, all information submitted is considered a valuable part of the decision-making process. All materials must be submitted no later than Friday, February 1 for financial aid eligibility, with all other applications due by May 6. International students should apply by Monday, April 23 and should keep in mind that an F-1 student visa will be required to study on campus.

Interested in living and learning in the heart of Silicon Valley? Consider the High School Summer College at Stanford University. This program is designed for dynamic, diverse students who want to learn in small classes with dedicate instructors, all while benefiting from the rich entrepreneurial and innovative nature of Stanford’s campus. Candidates will earn college credits as well as an official Stanford transcript, and will also receive access to Stanford’s exceptional student-life resources.

In this program, students will interact with Silicon Valley and startup culture, enjoying access to the Silicon Valley Innovation Academy, the Intensive Study option, and the Summer Academic resource Center. Candidates can enroll as residential or commuter students, with residential high school students required to enroll in a minimum of eight units.
To be eligible, students should be sophomores, juniors, or seniors at the time of application. Gap year students are also accepted. Candidates cannot already be matriculating into Stanford as freshmen, and while international students are welcomed, they must be able to verify fluency in the English language through one of multiple language proficiency examinations.

This is an early admissions deadline, so candidates who are interested in a rolling admissions process may apply later (as late as Wednesday, May 1). Decisions are typically rendered within three weeks of application. The program runs from Saturday, June 22 to Sunday, August 18.

The Collegiate School in New York, NY is a comprehensive private school for motivated boys in grades K-12. Each year, the Admissions team invites qualified candidates to apply to this old school with a new world vision. The school community is a close-knit group of students, faculty, alumni, parents, and friends, and is constantly welcoming new members to its ranks.

Each year, about 650 boys are enrolled at Collegiate. Generally speaking, new students are welcomed in Kindergarten as well as in Grades 5, 6, 7, and 9. Openings occasionally occur in other grades and new applicants are encouraged to apply at this time.

Boys of sound character and educational promise are encouraged to apply. The school does not give preference to or discriminate on the basis of certain races, religions, colors, national and ethnic origins, disabilities, or sexual orientation. In fact, generous financial aid is available to help families of limited financial resources.

To apply for 2019-2020, candidates should begin by submitted a completed application form and a fee of $75 to the office. Financial aid applicants are exempt from the application fee, which is non-refundable. Applications should be filed before December 3 in order to receive priority consideration.

Standardized testing is not required for applicants who are in grades Kindergarten and 1, but students in grades 5-12 must submit results from the ERB (ISEE). Older applicants may instead submit results from the SSAT, if desired. The school at which the applicant is currently enrolled should also send school reports and transcripts to the Admissions Office. Two current recommendations from both an English teacher and math teacher are also required for older students.

Although personal letters of recommendation are not required, students are encouraged to submit no more than two if desired. Essays are required, preferably copies of term papers or composition papers. These should include grades or comparable feedback. All candidates are urged to schedule a campus tour and engage in an interview. Tours and interviews are available between September and January.

Families with questions about the admissions process may contact admissions@collegiateschool.org or call (212) 812-8552.

Westminster School is a coeducational Christian, Independent day school for students in grades pre-first through 12 located in Atlanta, Georgia. This school is dedicated to providing talented students with an educational environment where they learn to thrive and become leaders of great conscience. Westminster invites students to apply for 2019-2020.

The first step to apply to Westminster is to register in Ravenna, the online admissions portal. This portal gives students access to all admissions materials, registration forms, and more. This form is not available until mid-October. Before then, each student should contact Westminster through Ravenna to schedule a Parent Information Session, tour, or Open House. This will give each family the opportunity to learn more about and connect with Westminster faculty, staff, and students before the formal application process begins. Open houses are available on November 10, November 30, December 1, and January 11. Check Ravenna to ensure the proper date to visit, depending on grade level and athletic status.

Applications can be reviewed and submitted in October. All materials are due by January 11, 2019. Testing is also required for each student. Parents should schedule JATPS exams for Lower School applicants, and SSAT exams for Middle and Upper School applicants. Students should also submit the Shared Applicant Information Form and Parent Supplement. After these two items are submitted, the Admissions Office will schedule a required campus evaluation visit for Lower School applicants or the Interview visit for Middle and Upper School applicants.

Decisions will be rendered on March 30 via the online portal. Candidates interested in financial aid should notify the school in the application process. The application process is need-blind, so need will not be considered during the application review. Parents will be required to submit certain documentation of their financial status, all of which are available on the School and Student Service for Financial Aid portion of the Westminster website.

Westminster is dedicated to using financial aid to help families bridge the gap between Westminster’s tuition, which ranges from $25,405 to $29,275, and the family’s income. Approximately fifteen percent of all students receive financial aid. More information may be received by contacting financialaid@westminster.net.

The Winsor School is a top academic school designed to prepare young girls in grades 5-12 for postsecondary success. The school encourages students in grades 5 through 11 to apply, with those in the younger grades given special consideration.

While every candidate is valuable at Winsor, the admissions committee looks diligently at girls who have extreme intellectual curiosity and tenacity, as well as a spirited nature and the motivation to succeed. Applications are currently being accepted for 2019-2020 starting in late August 2018. The admissions process, which commences in September, generally ends in January for admission in the following year.

Because the school does not have SEVIS certification, international students or those with foreign residencies cannot be accepted. To apply, each student should begin by completing a preliminary application, which includes a student application to be completed by mid-January. A school administrator evaluation, English recommendation, and math recommendation must also be submitted by this time.

Each student is also encouraged to visit and engage in an interview between mid-September and January. Before arriving for a visit, the only item that must be submitted is the preliminary application. Each visit includes a thirty-minute tour and a thirty-minute interview. Open houses and school fairs are also available.

Following submission of the application, students should take the appropriate standardized test. This must be done by mid-December. Girls in grades five through seven should take the Independent School Entrance Exam, while those in grades nine through eleven should take the SSAT. Students applying to grades nine and above are also encouraged to take the Character Skills Snapshot to give the admissions committee a better view of their holistic character.

Candidates interested in applying for financial aid should submit all materials by February 15. Winsor offers significant tuition assistance to families who qualify. Winsor’s comprehensive tuition starts at $48,400, with the average aid award ranging from $28,900 to $42,000 for needy families.

The Polytechnic School, located in Pasadena, California, offers exemplary and well-rounded education to K-12 students from all around the country. Each year, the school admits no fewer than 18 and no more than 20 students to grade 6 and ten to twelve students for grade 7. While no students may be admitted in grade 8, 10, 11, or 12, up to thirty students may be admitted to grade 9.

The application process does not differ significantly depending on the grade level. Applications to “non-entry” grades may only be considered if space is available through the process of attrition. Application materials can be found, completed, and submitted online. Applications for the 2019-2020 school year open in October 2018.

Families are encouraged to submit materials early, as the Admissions Office will process applications as they come in. In order to do so, all application materials must be submitted no later than the listed deadline.

All applicants must submit a formal online application, including a $100 application fee, by January 2019. Fee waivers are available for students who qualify by contacting the director of financial aid. Teacher and administrator recommendations should also be submitted, ideally by current math and English teachers, as well as from one school administrator (such as a principal or counselor). Invited referees will be sent secure links to complete confidential recommendations. Recommendations must be submitted by February of the application year.

Applicants should also take the Independent School Entrance Exam. Students should take the exam only once during the application season, with the last available test date being January 2019. Visits to the school are also required as part of the admissions process. This allows the admissions team to get a better look at the child on a personal level. Students entering grades 6-7 do not receive individual interviews but instead are encouraged to visit.

Transcripts must also be supplied from the previous school year, as well as first semester reports for that application year. A student statement addressing the applicant’s backgrounds, experiences, and interests should be supplied, with parents given the option of competing a parent statement to provide additional input on their sons or daughters. These supplemental materials are also due by February 2019.

Noble and Greenough School invites talented young people to apply for a place in next year’s class. While the admissions team looks for candidates who are strong academic performers, they also like to hear about students’ background experiences, interests, and activities. The goal of the application process is for this information to be revealed and for the best possible candidates to rise to the top.

Interested candidates should begin by submitting an inquiry form. This form will be returned to the candidate with the inquiry ID number necessary to schedule a visit. Upper school applicants wishing to visit Nobles will receive a tour and interview, while middle school applicants will only visit on a group activity session or a campus tour. Tours are not mandatory for middle school applicants.

After each student has visited and submitted an inquiry form, they are invited to apply via www.ravenna-hub.com. This account will allow applicants to check their application statuses, upload writing samples and other required materials, and more. Standardized testing scores must also be submitted. Middle school applicants may submit scores for the Independent School Entrance Exam, while upper school students should submit the Secondary School Admission Test.

All candidates, regardless of academic background and performance, are encouraged to submit the Character Skills Snapshot. This Snapshot provides the admissions office with a broader view at how the Nobles community can benefit from each child’s unique skillsets and backgrounds.

Finally, after submitting the application and all related documents, each candidate must also supply a nonrefundable application fee of $60. International applicants must pay a $100 application fee.

All materials should be completed and submitted by January 15. Candidates who are interested in receiving financial aid should complete the Parents’ Financial Statement and also supply a completed 2017 tax return, 4506-T forms, and W-2 forms no later than March 1. All admissions decisions will be made and posted through ravenna-hub.com by March 10.
