Each year, the UCL Centre for Languages and International Education invites students from around the world to study abroad in the heart of London. A range of modules are available from different academic departments, allowing students to choose the subjects best related to their academic and personal goals. This school is ranked as one of the top ten for many of its subject areas and is considered a leading academic provider.

A majority of academic modules are taught on the Bloomsbury campus, but many take students one step further, making use of London as a dynamic learning space. Accommodations are provided within walking distance of UCL, with students from over 50 countries welcomed on campus.

This year’s programs will take place in two sessions. The first session extends from July 1 to July 19 with the second held from July 22 to August 9. To apply, interested candidates should visit the online portal on the UCL website.

When applying, each student will need to select two modules: a preferred option and an alternative option. Although only one module will be pursued, each option is subjected to minimum participation and maximum capacity numbers.

All application materials should be submitted in English. Students who do not speak English as a native language will need to submit their English language qualifications. Academic qualifications and transcripts will also need to be supplied. A personal statement of roughly 250 words should be submitted with the application, as should the application fee. If you are selected to participate, you will need to accept the offer of admission within five days. A place will be reserved for you once you have done so.

All applications are due no later than May 31. Admission offers are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Applications that are submitted before March 1 will enjoy a complimentary application fee waiver.

Each year, the Harvard Summer School – Secondary School Program offers exceptional and academically motivated students the opportunity to engage in a dynamic living and learning opportunity on the Harvard University Campus. This year, the admissions committee is seeking students who will graduate from high school and begin their college training in 2019, 2020, or 2021.

To be eligible, all candidates must be at least 15 years old by December 1, 2018 and not be turning 20 years old before July 31, 2019. Although no fee is required to initiate the application process, a nonrefundable fee is required to submit the form. Before beginning the application process, each student should carefully select the program in which they are interested. Harvard offers two programs to high school students: the Secondary School Program and the Pre-College Program. Therefore, it is important to be vigilant about which option is preferred and selected during the application completion process.

To apply, interested candidates should complete an online application and provide all required supplemental materials. This includes a nonrefundable application fee of $75, as well as a counselor report which can be completed via a link in the online application. Transcripts from ninth grade to the fall of 2018 are also required, including documents like report cards, educational summaries, and progress reports. Students who do not speak English as a native language should also supply scores from the TOEFL iBT or IELTS proficiency exam along with the online application.

After submitting an application, candidates should watch their email inboxes carefully. After the application has been submitted, individuals will receive an email asking them to log in to check their application status about three weeks later. Admissions decisions may only be applied to the summer term to which the application was originally submitted. No deferrals are available.

The application process is highly selective, and decisions are rendered on a rolling and first-come, first-served bases. Although there is no GPA requirement, all information submitted is considered a valuable part of the decision-making process. All materials must be submitted no later than Friday, February 1 for financial aid eligibility, with all other applications due by May 6. International students should apply by Monday, April 23 and should keep in mind that an F-1 student visa will be required to study on campus.

The Pre-College Program at the Harvard Summer School is now accepting applications from dynamic high school students for its summer 2019 program. This program was founded with the intention of providing talented secondary students the opportunity to prepare for a rigorous college education while studying at one of the greatest college campuses in the country.

To be eligible, candidates should be both mature and academically gifted students who will graduate in 2020 or 2021. They should be at least 15 years old by December 1, 2018 and not turn 19 years old before July 31, 2019.

An online application is required, along with several supplemental materials. While an application fee is not required to initiate the application process, a nonrefundable fee of $75 is required to submit the final application. In addition, all students should be prepared to send a detailed counselor report, which can be accessed via a link inside the application. Transcripts from 9th grade to the fall of 2018 are also required. These can be in the form of report cards, educational summaries, or even progress reports.

Students who do not speak English as a first language should submit scores from one of two language proficiency examinations: the TOEFL iBT or IELTS. Generally, scores of successful applicants are above 103 on the TOEFL with 25 on the written section, with a score of at least 7.5 on the IELTS.

Before applying, candidates should choose their program carefully. Harvard University offers two separate summer programs for secondary students: the Pre-College Program and the Secondary School Program. Once the application is submitted, candidates will receive an email encouraging them to log in and check their admissions statuses in about three weeks. Admissions decisions are highly selective, and are only valid for the summer term in which the application ahs bene submitted – no deferrals available.

The early application deadline is Friday, February 1. Regular admissions applications should be submitted by Friday, March 15, and late applications can be submitted as late as Wednesday, May 15. Candidates who are interested in financial aid should apply before the February deadline.

Interested in living and learning in the heart of Silicon Valley? Consider the High School Summer College at Stanford University. This program is designed for dynamic, diverse students who want to learn in small classes with dedicate instructors, all while benefiting from the rich entrepreneurial and innovative nature of Stanford’s campus. Candidates will earn college credits as well as an official Stanford transcript, and will also receive access to Stanford’s exceptional student-life resources.

In this program, students will interact with Silicon Valley and startup culture, enjoying access to the Silicon Valley Innovation Academy, the Intensive Study option, and the Summer Academic resource Center. Candidates can enroll as residential or commuter students, with residential high school students required to enroll in a minimum of eight units. Commuting students can enroll in as few as three units, but must live with a family member or family friend within a 50-mile radius of the college.

To be eligible, students should be sophomores, juniors, or seniors at the time of application. Gap year students are also accepted. Candidates cannot already be matriculating into Stanford as freshmen, and while international students are welcomed, they must be able to verify fluency in the English language through one of multiple language proficiency examinations.

To apply, students should submit an online Summer Session application, along with the most recently completed semester grades, standardized test scores, and two personally written essays. One letter of recommendation must also be supplied. An application fee of $50 for early decision and $95 for rolling admissions must be supplied. Veterans and Horizon Scholars may apply as late as March 6, 2019 and are not required to pay an application fee.

For the eight-week program, all applications must be submitted by January 16, 2019. This is an early admissions deadline, so candidates who are interested in a rolling admissions process may apply later (as late as Wednesday, May 1). Decisions are typically rendered within three weeks of application. The program runs from Saturday, June 22 to Sunday, August 18.

Applications are now open for the King’s College London Pre-University Summer School. This exceptional academic and social experience is designed for high school students who are completing their last two years of study and are interested in university preparation.

This exciting cultural experience takes place on the campus of King’s College London, and provides students with a two-week residential experience (nonresidential experiences are also available). This program helps prepare students for their future studies at university and beyond and combines academic classes, cultural excursions, skills sessions, and other preparatory activities. The summer school also includes an extensive social program that gives students time to network with colleagues from around the world.

Two sessions of this program are available, offered from July 8 to July 21, and also from July 22 to August 4. While these sessions are designed for students in their last two years of high school and are aged sixteen and seventeen, a pre-university summer program is also available for students aged fourteen to fifteen. Students who are older than eighteen may also attend, although they must participate in the nonresidential program.

Although this course does not culminate in college credits, students do receive a certificate of completion that can be used to boost a resume and help with college applications. Students who later apply for admission to undergraduate study at King’s are not given preference, but can help demonstrate interest in the student’s chosen area of study.

Interested applicants should submit a completed application as well as copies of their most recent high school grades. A personal statement and reference letter from the high school are also required. Evidence of English language proficiency must be supplied if the applicant’s first language is not English. Finally, upon acceptance all candidates should supply a signed consent note by their parents or legal guardians.

The Cass London Summer School presents motivated business students with the opportunity to pursue an exciting life experience that allows them to enhance their qualifications in the field. This program, lasting for a single summer, is designed around the framework of intensive modules that boost skills in specific areas of finance. The program is designed for current undergraduate students, as well as prospective Master’s candidates and those who are already employed in the business industry.

The program provides students with valuable perspectives into business disciplines. It allows interested students to test out business programs and receive course credit in a graduate or postgraduate program. Students also receive access to the global community of London. This intensive program is taught at a modern facility right in the heart of London and its technological centers. While most of the time in this program is spent in rigorous blocks of academics, students will also receive an extensive social program that includes welcome drinks, networking events, and tourist activities.

Tuition and fees start at £1,500. Students will receive training in key financial skills, quantitative methods, hedge funds and fudge management, and computation finance. They will take courses in shipping markets, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management. Students will work with talented members of the Cass finance faculty and network with a diverse group of students. This will allow each candidate to gain exclusive experience in and exposure to the different types of business management, while benefiting from teaching that adapts to all learning styles.

To apply, candidates should submit an academic transcript or interim transcript, if midway through the term. A CV and personal statement must also be submitted. The personal statement should outline goals and also include the desired module of study. If the candidate is not a native English speaker, results from the IELTS should also be supplied. Some candidates may need to obtain a student visa or arrange travel plans, although the University of London cannot sponsor students under Tier 4 for the Summer School.

The University of Cambridge invites talented business students to apply to its Business and Entrepreneurship Summer Program. This two-week course provides students with core academic training from business practitioners and entrepreneurs, as well as in-depth hands-on sessions. Also available to students in this program are mentoring sessions, workshops, coaching, seminars, evening talks, and site visits.

Students will experience fifty-one contact hours of study, learning concepts and ideas related to business and entrepreneurship. Topic areas of study include prototyping and MVP, service provision, marketing delivery, value propositions, route to market, revenue streams, and many other areas. In addition, during the afternoon segment of each day’s schedule, students will work on teamwork, mentoring, and pitch development, along with entrepreneurship clinics and presentations to panels.

Newnham College

The program is available for residents and non-residents, and provides a full day of activities. Residents will live and dine in one of four historic Cambridge Colleges. These colleges are both beautiful and historic, providing students with unique opportunities to live and learn where former Nobel Prize winners and other accomplished graduates have resided. However, students who wish to attend the program but live off campus may do so. This part of the program is offered at a discounted rate.

Gonville and Caius College

A registration fee of £250 is due for each term or part of term attended. Any level of student may apply, including undergraduates, graduates, and aspiring entrepreneurs. Interested applicants should submit a two to three hundred word statement outlining their current business knowledge and intended program outcomes. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with a first-come, first-serve policy.

Applicants must be proficient in English, evidenced by successful scores on examinations such as the IELTS or TOEFL, if necessary. King’s College London is proud to offer qualified students the Summer Programme Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded to forced migrants from the United Kingdom, as well as from around the globe. These awards are granted to students wishing to enroll in the 2018 Undergraduate School, the 2018 Pre-University Summer School, and the 2018 Pre-University Taster. Ten tuition fee scholarships will be awarded in this upcoming academic year alone.

Forced migrants are those who come from a variety of immigration backgrounds. They might be asylum seekers, former asylum seekers, unaccompanied asylum seeking children, limited leave to remain applicants, or individuals with long standing residence status. While the terms and conditions of each of these statuses varies depending on length of stay and condition of their refugee status, this scholarship is notable because it helps to alleviate some of the hardships associated with all of the above conditions. According to statistics provided by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, only one percent of eligible refugees have access to higher education. The King’s Summer School helps to address this concern.

To be eligible to apply, students must be at least sixteen years old on September 1, 2018. Students have the opportunity to study any subject at a undergraduate level, allowing them to prepare for future university studies. This two-week program is highly intensive, and includes academic classes, social activities in London, excursions, university preparation advice, and skills training. The program is residential, with most students living at King’s College. Non-residential students are also encouraged to apply.

The program is offered in two sessions, with the first running from July 8 until July 21. The second is offered from July 22 to August 4, with separate sessions operating slightly later for nonresidential students (as an orientation day is not required). Students may choose to attend both sessions, if desired. Class credit will be granted for progress made in coursework at King’s College.

Interested candidates must apply first for the summer program and meet all prerequisite academic criteria. In some cases, visas are required for study at the summer school. High school transcripts, evidence of English language proficiency, and personal statements must also be submitted at the time of application. All applications for scholarships must be received no later than April 1, 2018.

The SIG Program (Summer Institute for the Gifted), located on the picturesque and prestigious Princeton University campus, invites students to apply to one of its two summer sessions. This program, though not affiliated directly with Princeton, allows students to engage with Princeton facilities while studying in a thriving academic, commercial, and creative community.

In this program, students will engage in a wide variety of courses in Humanities, Math, Science, Visual and Performing Arts, Fitness and Recreation, Technology, and Multidisciplinary fields. Students will engage with other gifted students through a combination of academic studies and social activities.

Session One runs from July 22 until August 11, 2018. It is open to students who will be between the ages of thirteen and seventeen before August 31. The program charges $5,795 in residential tuition, with a discount of $900 for commuter students. All payment is due by May 15.

Students will engage in a full-curriculum with a four-period academic day, as well as evening activities, Saturday trips, and weekend activity days.

Students will be housed in Whitman College, one of Princeton’s residential colleges. Students have access to all classrooms and laboratories, the gym, and the exciting community of Nassau Street. Although students will be largely independent, living arrangements are secure and safe. Each student will live with a group of ten to fourteen other students and be supervised by a counselor.

Each year, the DaVinci Camp Summer Institute invites talented, motivated middle and high school students to partake in an integrated art and applied sciences program. The camp combines mathematics, engineering, science, and art instruction in a hybrid program that embodies Leonardo da Vinci’s original concepts of a Renaissance scholar.

Students will engage in three-week, all-day sessions that combine hands-on workshops and other activities. This fast-paced environment allows students to thrive academically creatively, and analytically with other students who share their passions. Students are able to engage in life on a prestigious college campus and interact with alumni from Berkeley, Stanford, MIT, and Caltech, all of whom lead the program. Sessions are offered at all four campuses.

Students will have fun and learn how to have fun learning in this program, exercising their imaginations and talents as they work to understand complex math and science problems. Activities include visits to NASA JPL, learning at the Getty Research Institute, and attending performances by the San Francisco Ballet and Opera or Los Angeles Philharmonic. Students will hike at the Inyo National Forest, or learn Brazilian batucada, among a myriad of other activities.

Session One lasts from June 9 until June 28. Session Two runs from June 23 until July 13. Session Three begins on July 5 and ends on July 24. Session Four begins on July 27 and ends on August 15.

Tuition includes instruction, course materials, field trips, and snacks. Other meals and transportation are not included. Tuition is $3,000 per session, with partial need-based financial aid available for qualified students.
