Australian National University invites qualified undergraduate students to apply for the exciting undergraduate degree programs offered by the university. In particular, international students are highly sought after members of the university community. To be eligible, international students should be prepared to meet particular English language requirements.

Although some programs may have specific entry requirements, international students applying to Australian should expect to meet the same admission standards. Official transcripts should be submitted in English (or with an English translation). A graduation certificate must also be supplied, either with all admissions materials, or upon graduation. Letters of recommendation and other supporting documents should also be supplied. Letters of recommendation may not be sent directly from the applicant and should be forwarded directly form the referee to the admissions office.

International students who are completing year 12 in Australia will need to have an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank or equivalent. This should meet the entry requirement for your specific degree. These students should apply through the Universities Admissions Centre. Students who are completing a New Zealand NCEA Level 3 or an International Baccalaureate will also meet these criteria.

Applicants may list nine degree program preferences, but these may be changed after the application has been submitted. Preferences can be changed after receiving an offer of admission as well. If students are applying to multiple degree programs with varying levels of competitiveness and entry score requirements, the more challenging score will be deferred to. Therefore, students should take care when selecting their preferences.

All applications are reviewed by the university admissions office and offers will be released in rounds. These offers are released via email. Applications generally take around four to six weeks to assess. Materials should be submitted by December 15, 2017 for initial review. Questions may be directed to the Admissions team at +61 2 6125 5594.
