Sir John Cass’s Foundation announces an exciting distance learning scholarship program. The program is designed for young adults in London who wish to study at the University of London. The scholarship, which covers all tuition and examination fees, also includes career and academic guidance throughout the duration of the course.

Eligible applicants will be under 25 years of age and reside in London. They should be able to demonstrate through financial documents that they would not—without the scholarship—be able to pursue a degree. This may be demonstrated through showing a commitment to other financial obligations or those as a caregiver or single parent.

Students who are already registered with the University of London may not apply for this award. All other applicants should complete an application form and submit it along with the course application to the University of London International Programs. Students must specify their chosen degree and upload a completed scholarship application form under the online “additional educational document” tab. Students can also submit materials such as financial documents in this area.

An application fee of £88 is also required, but students who are proven eligible for the program will be credited with this amount upon registration. If the application is not successful, this fee can be refunded.
To apply, you must complete the application form and submit it as part of your application for an course with the University of London International Programmes. All students must apply by October 1 for the given academic year (except for students applying to the English and Combined degree programs). All scholarship applicants will be notified, regardless of success, by October 31.

Scholarship recipients will receive career support designed and executed by The Careers Group at the University of London. This includes an induction at the University, three guidance appointments focused on developing career skills and self-confidence, and access to resources and an extensive alumni network. Students must also submit a short report at the end of each year detailing the impact of the scholarship on their research and studies.
For more detailed information, students should contact the Student Advice Centre at +44 (0)20 7862 8360.
